Dear Dr. Paul:

I wish to extend to you and your family my heart-felt congratulations on the occasion of your overwhelming victory yesterday in the Republican U.S. Senate primary in Kentucky. Your “randslide” ( as the media is calling it ) is a powerful reflection of the Great Awakening sweeping America which the Tea Party movement embodies.

Your victory over the entrenched, “business-as-usual” Republican establishment is a message that the cause of true limited, constitutional government can no longer be ignored by the policymakers in Washington, D.C.

In California, I am running for the 33rd Assembly District seat. A Tea Party leader myself, I am running against the local Republican establishment candidate who is a longtime county politician. This individual is backed by an array of fellow politicians at the local and state level as well as by special interest groups and public employee unions.

I am greatly encouraged by your win and pray that it is just the beginning of a string of victories for Tea Party candidates across our nation who are determined to rein in government by the “chains of the Constitution” as Thomas Jefferson put it two centuries ago.
